Introducing the panel for the Young Cumbrian Artist of the Year 2019...

We are delighted to welcome Maddi Nicholson (artist, founder and director of Art Gene, Celia Burbush (artist, winner of the Cumbrian Artiist of the Year Award 2017), Jocelyn McGregor (artist, DoremiResidency, shortlisted for the Cumbrian Artist of the Year award 2016 & 2017), and Emeli Hartness Arts (winner of the Young Cumbrian Artist of the Year Award 2017).

The awards champion young artists from Cumbria or those living or studying in the county. A long-list of entries will feature in an exhibition at the University of Cumbria's Vallum Gallery from 21st March with the winner announced at the opening of the exhibition. The award is £250 + an artist residency at the Old Fire Station with Eden Arts as part of their Artists Spare Room.

The deadline for entries to the award and exhibition is 31.01.19.
